Did you know the Danish Riviera is a thing? Like I guess I knew Copenhagen is “on the coast” but somehow I don’t feel like it’s coastal? Color me intrigued. From a recent press release (which is how I discovered this): the “Hamptons of Denmark.” A hip beach town for Copenhagen creatives, it is also known for its untouched nature and pristine beaches.
They, and I, want me to stay at the quietly luxurious Helenekilde Badehotel, a 28-room property sits on a bluff with sweeping views of the Kattegat Sea. A 50 minute drive from the historic center of Copenhagen or a 1 ¼ hour train ride, in the town of Tisvildeleje in North Zealand. This is all, well, Danish to me!
