Dreaming of many things, but namely the swish of my skis on snow with the cold air blowing in my face.

Buy All the Things

I am obsessed with my Season Equipment skis. I LOVE them. I own the Nexus 177cm. They are the best. They ski beautifully. They look beautiful. I went through it last Christmas to get a ski bag long enough to house them (ended up with this lovely Dakine and matching boot bag (if you don’t know, boot bags fly free with ski bags!)), so I can’t help but be both annoyed that and obsessed with the new bag they JUST released. It’s SO functional! It’s exactly how I pack, but with compartments to keep things separate! I WANT IT but I definitely don’t need it!

Back in reality, we are apparently continuing ‘Hot Girl Summer’ but really everyone’s hot here in Texas. Anyway, there’s an official necklace and it is, indeed, cute: Ver-ti-go chokers handmade by a 24-year-old in her NYC apartment. Love it.

Speaking of TikTok trends I learned about from a newsletter because I am an elder millennial wtf, I did not, in fact, know about this epic Limes shirt before it was cool. However, I might still buy it.

Before I was elder, ever since I was young, I’ve loved vintage lockers as decor. These updated versions, naturally, just make sense: mustardmade.com

i … marketing people are amazing. Natty Light x Sperry is running a contest where you send in your old Sperrys and they send you a boat koozie made of your own shoes. Only 165 people will win! I love it. It’s cheap. It’s cool. It makes sense as a collab. It’s … great marketing. naturallight.com/brewzie

Speaking of marketing, reminded recently how much I love Harry’s Marketing Examples newsletter.

Pack Your Bags

File under wonderful problems to have, but dreaming up honeymoon destinations is HARD. Rather, narrowing down all the big dreams is hard. Tanzania? Zanzibar? Kenya? Maldives? Amalfi Coast? Greece? Sychelles?

Or for honeymoon into that remote-work life… home exchange?

So. I heard all the horror stories about passports taking 12 weeks to renew and wanted to make sure we could travel internationally when our wedding was gonna be in Nov, so less than 2 weeks ago I went and took a new pic (an ordeal of itself—don’t wear white for the photo), paid to expedite it, and paid for express shipping back to me. Y’all my passport came today. TODAY.

Last-minute trip to Cuba, anyone?

But, alas, this is where I need to ground:
