Covid Week 14 Update: Mask

During this weird Covid time, I’m more of a bandana mask wearer than a mask-mask wearer. But I just received this email and had to share—and buy a mask (they have one with stars on it, after all).

Covid + prison reform all in one

I’m a longtime supporter of Defy Ventures and believe deeply and fiercely that their work is how we break the cycle of imprisonment. They provide entrepreneurial support and training for prisoners and people just released from prison, an amazing anti-recidivism effort.

Copy-paste: Look good and stay safe with a premium mask from About the Stitch! About the Stitch, a tailoring and design studio, was founded by Defy graduate Alex Arguello. Before COVID-19, About The Stitch was a thriving business built upon the hard work of Alex and his devoted seven-person tailoring team. The pandemic not only affected the business but also Alex’s health—he was sick with the virus through much of April. Alex is now healthy and has temporarily pivoted his business to helping you stay healthy, too! About the Stitch’s reusable masks ($18/each) come in a variety of beautiful designs and feature three-layers of fabric with a pocket opening for the option to insert a filter (one filter is included). The masks also have an adjustable head strap to achieve a better and more comfortable fit. Alex is generously donating 10% of proceeds from mask sales to Defy. In addition, Alex has designed a limited edition Defy mask, of which 100% of proceeds will go to Defy.If your company is interested in purchasing a larger order of masks (About the Stitch can customize with logos, colors, etc.), please contact premiumstitchco@gmail.com. Support About the Stitch, Defy’s Entrepreneurs in Training, and you and your community’s health by purchasing a mask today!
