This is all in honor of McCormick & Schmick’s new 10 for $10 lunchtime menu. It features the requisite sandwiches and salads with decidedly fancy twists: things like Oregon Bay Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta, Chipotle Chicken Salad Wrap, Coconut Shrimp Salad or Grilled Salmon Ciabatta.
Known for a super-cheap happy hour and sometimes belittled as a corporate conglomerate by the locavores of Austin, McCormick & Schmick’s actually features produce from several local farms, including:
– Bella Verdi Farms in Dripping Springs supplies micrograins, basil and lettuce
– Jenschke Farms in Fredericksburg supplies tomato, pepper, squash and zucchini
– Smitty’s Farm in the Bastrop area supplies sweet potato
– Young’s Farm in Sunray supplies leafy greans
