In this post I asked for help accessorizing the dress I was renting from Rent the Runway for a big party at the magazine. I expected to like pumps or funkier shoes, but when I tried them on before the party, I ended up liking a strappy shoe—but in bright red, naturally.
I added big red earrings and a simple red drop necklace, but the most important accessory ended up being bold red lips.
Rent the Runway was, per usual, a seamless experience. Select the dress, get two sizes, one fits, wear, return. This dress was just $45, which is, in some ways, better than buying a dress I will only wear a few times (us faux celebs get photographed too much to be seen wearing the same party dress more than once).
