In the immortal words of Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days*: ladies, frost yourself. Saks Fifth Avenue South Coast Plaza recently played host to a Graff Diamonds showcase. It’s the first time some of the pieces have been shown at all, and definitely the first time in Orange County. These pieces are showstoppers. Yellow diamonds, pink diamonds, drapey chandelier earrings, and stunning collar necklaces were on display.
They let me live up to my faux celeb name and try on a few gems.
Play it cool while the fabulous Gavin Ballin—yes that’s his real name—places a sapphire and diamond tennis bracelet on my wrist. Sapphires are totally my birthstone.
So this is what a $1.5 million dollar ring looks like on my finger (take notes, future suitors of America**).
“Wow, that ring looks perfect on you!” exclaimed a bystander. Who, me?
