Why do I love these so much?
1. Flavor – not sweet. Not sour, exactly, but not cloyingly sweet like so many electrolytes, BCAAs, or intra-workout drinks.
2. I’m buying into their 5 Essential Electrolytes + 5 grams of creatine:
They say: The electrolytes in Mestrength are at the same concentration as what is present in the blood (Isotonic). If the concentration was higher, then it would be hypertonic and the body would work hard to make it isotonic, so fluid would leave the cells and enter the in intestine. If it were hypotonic, the opposite reaction would occur – both of which wouldn’t allow for adequate hydration of the cells. During extreme exercise, cells lose fluid; and having a solution that rapidly crosses into the bloodstream to replace this fluid is key to performance.
All of the electrolytes that are used in the product are 100% bio-available: 30 mg of usable calcium, potassium (30mg), sodium (60 mg), magnesium (15mg), and phosphorus (15 mg).
3. Packets. Yo, I love canisters and the environment. But packets on the go for after-work workouts are legit.
