I first discovered etsy when I bought an “unfinished diamond” ring on a leather strap with a piece of metal. It looked awesome in the pictures, but when it arrived I was sad to be able to see the glue on my diamond, and I assumed that meant it was bad and would fall off. Two years later, it still exists, has not fallen off, and I still think of it as a bastion of my coolness. I’ve never gotten a compliment on it though …
