Day 16 HCG Diet + No Sugar Cravings?

Two weeks down, just one more week of 500 calorie, no-fat eating left!

… it gives me a new appreciation for fat. Butter and coconut milk in particular, for my healthy cooking. Butter for sauteeing, coconut milk for curries, soups, and more. I also can’t wait to eat spaghetti squash again, and not to have to worry about portion size in protein.

One thing I’ve forgotten to talk about is the complete and utter lack of sugar cravings on this diet. It’s astounding. From day 1, I have not THOUGHT about sugar. I have thought about pizza (on flax crust, with lots of veggies and local ground beef), bread (sprouted grain, slathered in butter), and cheese (the grocery store we live above has been having a CHEESE SALE for the past two weeks. SRSLY?!), but I have not CRAVED sugar. I have thought about baking, which is often sweets for me, but not because I crave a cookie, but because I like baking. Crazy!

Breakfast (10:30): Coffee + apple

Ski for 4 hours in the windiest conditions ever = very little skiing, mostly riding slow lifts and hiding out from the cold in bars not drinking

Lunch (4p): yellowtail sashimi (from the grocery store, taken off the rice, so delicious) + giant salad

There’s also a new farmer’s market in town (outdoors at Peach’s in Aspen!), so we stopped by today and picked up local kale, local honeycrisp apples, local ground beef, and a local sirloin.

Dinner (8p): Shredded cabbage and onion and miracle noodles with sirloin! SO yum. Shredding cabbage and onion and saute-steaming it with garlic and veggie broth is amazing. It’s a delicious noodle substitute.

Steak and noodles for dinner

Snack (9p): lil apple + fiber shake

Also went to see Ryan Bingham at Belly Up. Club sodas all night! Party!
