Cleaning out my grandparents’ house for an estate sale, my mom and her sisters found this picture. They said they never knew how much I looked like Grandma Blair until they saw this picture—but I knew.
It’s more the look than how she looks, but that’s there too: the cheeks, the smile, and you can’t see ’em but the legs!
I like to think I’m a lot like her too: silly, loving, fun, pioneering, stubborn, and smart.
And then there are the ways to grow into being like my grandma: patience, gentleness, and selflessness.
I’m lucky.
