stowing away on ships. i have recently found out that ancestors ON BOTH SIDES OF MY FAMILY came to America by stowing away on a ship. does this explain everything you need to know about myska allen rebelliousness? or is it a story of persecution? or was stowing away on ships just really common back when ships were the only way across the ocean?
“this is the glute of the face” – the fabulous owner of sun up skin, massaging my cheek during buccal massage … because both are big? no because both always need more massage!

… a direct result of getting to see one of my best friends at her son’s baseball tournament in houston last weekend, which filled up my cup (literally and proverbially) with deep, easy friendship. all the babies came for two nights in a hotel and it went better than our last road trip but road tripping with an almost-eight-month-old is not much better than road tripping with an eight week old. back to airplanes we go!
continuing to network, build, plot, scheme, relax, walk, take baths, yoga, pilates, snuggle a baby, work on partnerships professional and personal, read decidedly dumb books that i enjoy, try all sorts of solid foods (the baby not me), perfect my fried rice recipe
life is seasons, and this is not the season I expected but I am so grateful for it.
