Although the timing is suspect, I am also super grateful for something that is NOT a birthday present, but a Perseverance Present: Permanent (Adult Kiddie) Pool. It’s a Cowgirl Pool and the weather has not cooperated in allowing me to enjoy it with friends in the sunshine yet, but you better believe that is on the agenda well into the future. I’m such a water baby, and always have been (remember AIM names? SplashStar here), so having a pool is super important to me when I’m not living by a river or ocean. The amount of joy it brings is amazing.
Now, off to a long weekend we all go, and after my first two—intense, amazing, exciting—weeks on the job, the respite is very welcome. To basketball and boats and besties on tap for the weekend!
