Here are a bunch of random things I am grateful for this week. I’m skipping the incredible MCT trip and Halloween, there will never be enough words to express my gratitude for that framily and not even food poisoning could stop us from having an incredible week together. I love y’all.
Now onto the usual biz of gratitude:
Three days a week at Austin Play Garden
My veteran (happy Veterans Day)
Excitement in/about my career—no, there is no news, but something good is coming soon, I can feel it.
I updated my LinkedIn profile thanks to killer advice from a recruiter, who had no reason to spend so much time with me but did and it was awesome
Long walks
A really cool new bridge over the neighborhood creek
COLD WEATHER
AND OPEN WINDOWS
AND COLD-WEATHER BABY CLOTHES
Sanne’s Moment Garden … I love the comments from friends and family
Two really cool online communities that are keeping me connected in this intermediary period between maternity leave and my next role: Work Like a Girl and Re:brand
A care package from California, with presents for both Sanne AND ME!!
My “triumphant” return to volleyball … perhaps playing a mixup 4s tournament that resulted in six back-to-back games in two hours was a little, erm, ambitious, for someone coming back from a major abdominal surgery and maybe 8 months off
Bingham on a beautiful Friday night at an outside amphitheater
My neighborhood getting more and more walkable
Banana bread muffins—with chocolate chips, natch
Sanne’s laughter. It’s the best sound in the whole world.
Looking forward to the rest of November: a wine dinner, some fun virtual events, and Thanksgiving in Park City!
