If the anticipation is as important to the trip as the trip itself, this one should be good. We are headed to Colorado for the long weekend, and I absolutely cannot wait. We haven’t been in too long, and I need mountain air, expansive skies, and room to breathe.
Plus the Mighty Argo cable car is having its grand opening and there’s a burro race through town!
Here though, we’ve had a busy, fun, week to be exceptionally grateful for. Last weekend we went to Krause Springs and swam with Sanne, and it was so fun. I am so grateful she loves the water as much as I do, it’s so fun to swim with her. We also took baths together this week, and watching her splash, play, and fall onto my belly with complete trust is the most amazing feeling in the whole world.
Naturally, we stopped by a winery to play after the springs, and Sanne found neon caterpillars!
We did not, in fact, let her play with those. We’re laid back, but not that laid back.
I got to attend a great networking event at the Commodore Perry with Huntress Wealth, a financial planning AND wellness app, and the room was full of wonderful, entrepreneurial women. And the coffee? My god. Fancy hotels really know how to do coffee. How is each cup so wonderful on its own, and yet also the same as the one before it? (not that I had THAT many cups…)
The job search drags on. But events like that keep me going. There are still cool jobs out there, I just have to get one 🙂 I am going out of my comfort zone and reaching out hard, and I guess I am grateful for this learning experience.
I am also grateful for mid-day garage gym workouts, even if Bob our menace lays right where I need to be, and TWO sand vb matches this week, one women’s and one coed. I finally feel like I’m getting back into the right shape, and my body can do the thing I am asking it to do. It feels great, and I am so grateful to my volleyball partners for continuing to play with me.
I am, of course, grateful for my helpful handsome humanitarian warrior, the neighbros and rogue estate saleing with my sis in law, and my amazing mama.
And now the mountains are calling and I must go …
