I have long had a pinterest board called I Could Probably Make That, in which I overestimate my skill at any number of things. Which, tbf to myself, I can and have actually made many of the things. About 70% of the time they look good.
My most recent idea was sparked when I saw these earrings:
Now, in fourth grade I tried to start a trend of wearing different earrings. This was the 80s-style big clunky earrings this kid was rocking, mismatched, in the early 90s. The trend did not, in fact, catch on (at the time). I kept it up for months, though. And it became a trend a few years ago (I think?!). Thirty years ahead of my time… anyway, I am stoked because I can definitely create this look from all the old broken jewelry I have kept! Like this:
I am planning to wear these tonight! Super happy with how they turned out.
And in Checklist 101 I mentioned charm boat shoes, like this:

And I made them (awhile ago, and I swear I shared them on the blog but cannot find it so …**). I have worn them in public. I like them:
I also think it’d be fun to re-thread them with paracord. Or another shoe … cheap updates over here!

**I swore I wrote this whole post before—on the shoes at least—but can find no record of it, so :::shrugs:::
I did find a post on making my Kentucky Derby hat from ten years ago, which is both audacious and awesome … and I still have that hat?
