Good Happy Energy | Feel Good Friday 042426

A great conversation: posted it on LinkedIn. It happened on Friday, and I was stoked.

Posting though felt risky. Did it anyway. A week later, can confirm it wasn’t.

Energy, y’all.

Good energy begets good energy. Vibez. Frequency. Manifestation. Belief. Whatever we’re calling it, we, I, need more of the good stuff: the faith, the confidence, the happiness that comes from being yourself and true. And yourself and true you is inherently good, no matter what it looks like to you in a given moment (like you’re unemployed, perhaps?).

In the hustle and bustle of the week, just a few days! I lost that peace. We’re always searching for it.

Yesterday, I took the baby next door for the neighbros to take her to daycare with their kids. They were nowhere near ready—which is pretty much the default, and yes, it’s very annoying. But my niece, who plays with the baby and is super sweet to her, so can do whatever she wants, pulls out a Dr. Seuss book and asks me to read because it’s SO FUNNY. Well no one can turn down a kid thinking something is funny, so at 8:52am when they should have taken the kids to school 22 minutes prior, I sat down and read the book aloud. My nephew, who had been melting down, sidled over and asked me to start over (I did not). We read the funny parts and couldn’t stop laughing.

Sitting on the floor of their house with three kids, I reminded myself that this is the beauty of life. Not rushing to get to my computer to pump and check LinkedIn and my email and pray for the connection that leads to the job finally, but this: giggles with my family.

The day’s energy changed. It’s about ease and laughter and happiness.

AS IT SHOULD BE.

(Here’s the LinkedIn version of this same event. So. Many. Lessons.)

So I’m so grateful this week for good energy. Happy vibes. Good sharing. Good vulnerability. Goodness in people. Feeling GOOD this Friday.

Also grateful for:
