Measuring time in Sanne.
Posting late/when I can for the same (I also love the number 17, so).
It feels like I simply must open this blog with an expression of grief over the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I am grateful for his tireless championing of peaceful discourse, which is critical to the success of a nation who core tenets are rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
An accounting of what I fear: PirateWires.com: We Have to Look at the Reactions
Deep sigh. Listen and love well.
So we focus on the gratitude list:
- Launching a new “column”: (Mama) Therapy Thursday. Think similar to a previous series I undertook, Yoga Therapy, where I pull on a thread I found in yoga. We’re finding these threads in raising a baby. Read it or don’t!
- Speaking of … grateful for my first baby and me yoga class (technically called Restore Your Core at Austin Yoga Lounge)! It was stressful to get to but amazing once there. This week was significantly easier to get there and equally awesome.
- Zieg’s visit!!! We watched all the college football, the Eagles win, and got tons of amazing catch up time. Grateful my low-key bestie booked a flight to come meet the baby.
- Feeling strong and like I’m healing, doing my exercises and castor oil packs and cupping and everything to try to get comfortable in my body again
- A hilarious series of networking call, zoom call, job interview that did not result in a job, but was encouraging nonetheless
- Tomorrow’s Leaders Backyard Ball coming up 10/16! Buy tix from Sunny. There’s a *really great* silent auction item that looks a lot like a little cabin in Colorado up for grabs. Grateful to be involved.
- Chickening out of a happy hour and grabbing a literal and figurative cup-filling drink with a friend instead
- Mailbox love note from Bend
- Running into my brother at the chiropractor, after dropping groceries off in my dad’s office so they wouldn’t roast in my hot car … only my fam and only in Austin.
- Feet pics
- Babysitter. And grandma babysitting. And family drop off.
- My parents’ house. It’s such a sanctuary.
- The longevity of this blog and the people who still read it
