“You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart will always be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.”
I’m really feeling this quote right now (I posted it years ago on my instagram, at the time I was probably missing Aspen … now I just have more places to miss).
It speaks to the truth of the old adage “home is where the heart is”, when the heart is with amazing friends and family all over the place. I am grateful that there are a few things that keep me feeling like home anywhere, and here are two:
This dog is my heart.
Lifting or general physicality keeps me grounded, wherever I am.
