The things I love that I don’t always get to do | Feel Good Friday 070816

Horses. I love horses. I love to ride but don’t get much of a chance to out here in SoCal. Last weekend in Asheville, we only went on a trail ride and walked and trotted, but it’s still wonderful to be around horses. I have a terrible sense of smell in general, but I LOVE THE SMELL OF HORSE. And barn. And manure. And horse dirt. When I was a wrangler at summer camp, I used to love the horse dirt that gathered in the folds of my elbow pits. Weird but true.

My horse, Beau, looks beautiful in these photos. And he was. But he was a chunk who definitely needed to go on more trail rides. He kept trying to rub me off on every tree we passed—but we think it’s because he didn’t realize how wide he was, not because he hated me. He also took FIVE POOPS. FIVE. That’s an extreme number of horse poops.

I am also grateful for getting to see people I don’t always get to see, including friends that I’ve only met a few times but I remember how much I love them when I see them. And for mountains. Mountains are awesome.

My black tank is the American Tank, which I was reminded how much I like but now see is only available in XS Pink, or I’d buy more. Should you be an XS or want to buy other cool GracedByGrit gear, use code GBGXOPRO229 for 20% the whole GracedByGrit site.
