… and then we walked into Spread & Co on a lazy Saturday afternoon and our wishes were granted.
The space is warm, inviting, and a bit like if your grandma was an instagram influencer—kitschy & cozy, but exceptionally thoughtful and well-done. The window seat is to die for! And the merch is beautifully curated. The patio is perfect for our Austin autumn. I mean.
The food is delicious and creative if not unexpected (cheddar cheese chocolate chip cookie, I’m talking ’bout you); all the meats are happy. Until the TABC license comes in, it’s BYOB so that seems like a perk—but if their carefully curated cheese section is any indication, they’re likely to have an awesome wine program as well.
Sunday brunch that runs til 3pm is on the list to try. I’m so psyched to have a neighborhood spot and can’t wait to spend more time at it!
