The most amazing pair of kickin’ it shoes ever. The Asics Onitsuka Tiger Snow 72 boot. We used them at Shape magazine for a shoot when I interned there awhile ago, and they’ve haunted me ever since. Well, folks, yesterday I FOUND THEM, in my size, on the internet. So I ordered them. From Canada.
These are not just sneaker-boots (because normally I’d hate such a thing), they are fashion anomalies. The silhouette of the shoe is curvy and feminine, with thin velcro straps. The leg of the boot is a squishy nylon bedecked by silver grommets. And–wait for it–they fold down to reveal purple faux fur. Multi-function, multi-style, totally unique. I cannot wait for them to arrive and me to kick it most fashionably in my Onitsuka Tiger Snow 72 boots.
Pray for my Onitsukas, that they make it from Canada to Texas safely, while it’s still mildly cold outside, and that the size “11” on the site is indeed my size.
