Last year, I worked with my dad on a book. It was a ton of fun, and the book is really good. Here’s a note from him about it; you can order a copy here.
When preparing this book for publication … my son (Jordan) jokingly said to me … “Dad … so you’re coming out of the closet huh?” What he meant by that is my full ownership of A Course In Miracles (the Course) as my spiritual path. I purposely avoided attending to that in the Trilogy because I did not want to have that “bias” be a part of what people would have to grapple with in appreciating what I had to say.
Innocence Lost / Innocence Restored is a complete departure from that and emphasizes the impact the Course has had on my life. Each chapter begins with a quote from the Course and the Course is often quoted throughout the chapters. I am no way pushing the Course as anything anybody needs to do. I am just owning it and putting it out there as my path.
In fact … a group of us completed a three-year process of studying the Text of the Course … met for 1 1/2 hours/week for 2 1/2 years. We are now studying the Workbook in terms of the theory that it presents, as well as the implications of what it means to use the Course as a spiritual practice. We have been meeting for 6 months and are currently halfway through the Workbook.
The title of my 5th book is … The Veil of Ignorance. It will probably take me six months to get that book edited and published. The title of my 6th book is … Extraneous Indulgence. Since I just got the idea for it last week … I have no idea about getting it completed and published.
To sum it all up …
– The Changing Minds Trilogy captures 40 years of my life and my trying to make sense of the mind and its relationship to Truth.
– Innocence Lost / Innocence Restored clearly lays out the path that the Course delineates as a way to that Truth.
– The Veil of Ignorance highlights that our ignorance is all we are ever dealing with as we journey towards Truth
– Extraneous Indulgence will pick up on a theme that has guided my Martial Arts training for 31 years … the “maximal extraction of any extraneous energy” … applying that profound challenge to the journey of Awakening.
