Party: The Story of a One-Word Text Message | Feel Good Friday 101521

Yesterday I was in LA.

Tomorrow I’ll be in Nashville.

It’s wild out here, kids, but let’s reflect on how grateful I am for this full life. Last weekend is the story of a friendship close enough that all it takes is a one-word text message.

Party?

Party

And so we did, Saturday night after recording the finale ep of Sacks and the City podcast (yet to be published, if that tells you anything about the importance of the pod in our lives this football szn lol), and Sunday football afternoon with the outdoor TV setup and new friends. It was awesome. Great friends, great conversations, great times, funny memories … sharing good wine with good people, taking them on a hilarious wine tour of my house (yes I am ridiculous), just so happy to be hosting people again after a bit of an unintentional hiatus.

LA was absolutely amazing too, I was there for a work event that went really well but equally grateful for the time spent with two of my boy besties, having a long lunch on a rooftop overlooking the beach followed by coffee and the kind of conversations only long-time friends have, where there’s a little catch-up and a lot of dive-right-in. I felt so refreshed after hanging with them.

Speaking of work … WORK ALERT!

ICYMI, art show Nov 6 & 7. Will have my own gallery and be hosting with some fun and funky and fancy wine (still need to pick that), fingers crossed anyone besides my parents shows up…

Grateful for my awesome traveler Ogio backpack, TSA PreCheck, Oakmont chicken tenders, French-Vietnamese cuisine at Cassia, the volleyball tournament I’m playing tonight, chill nights at home earlier to store up for this whirlwind, many Pendleton blankets, plans constantly changing, my therapist, and discovering the Xinomavro grape because holy smokes is that delicious wine I need more!

Lastly, always so unbelievably grateful for my pupper pal, snuggling up in the truck on errands <3
