you are my celebrity

my team | feel good weekend 071822

I love my team so much… last week two of my newest hires were in town for a photo shoot and they are just as awesome as I expected (granted, I already knew one of them). We had SO much fun taking tons of stock photos and videos, and celebrating one of their birthdays at Comedor. OMG was it good! Very expensive but worth the hype.

There, we tried an AWESOME summertime nebbiolo called Casa Jipi from Baja*. I would buy it over and over again and drink it chilled. I’ve learned from DAKT that nebbiolos are often a steal at restaurants, and this one certainly was.

Last week was accidentally jam-packed, but so much fun. These people could also be considered my team… U Up? show at Paramount and subsequent shenanigans—and new friends!—were hilarious, hosting the Backyard Ball planning meeting with CFF was a blast, surprise visit from the helpful humanitarian warrior was awesome, seafood boil was the exact kind of party I needed—great mix of friends new and old, small enough crowd to get to have good conversations across the party, was home by 11.

Did I bury the lede? I got cleared 100% for sports on Thursday!

Saturday, I took my sled for a spin, ran some back yard “sprints” (really more flying starts), and was really happy with how my achilles felt—no pain! Sunday, I biked to 90-minute BFree yoga at Antone’s (3 mi), biked to brunch at Jacoby’s (3 mi), biked home (6 mi), and dove face-first into the cowboy pool because I miiiiiiight have been pushing it a little hard at 99 degrees outside.

Nali & I both are dreaming of snow…

And, of course, I’m so grateful for the little one, my heart and soul pupper whose days are numbered. We’re in a weird limbo, but I’m trying to make the most of the time we have left together.

*aside from the importer and a few shops carrying it, I can’t find the winery’s website … which you know means it’s super boutique, and you know makes me love it even more. Down the rabbit hole, this may be because it’s truly just a sub-label of Bruma, which is not only producing wine but has a gorgeous vacation property ON THE VINEYARD. brb, going to Mexico obviously.
