The last time I rounded up bikinis was a long time ago—and considering I lived at the beach for five years and was in a ‘kini at least 3 or 4 days a week, I’m basically an expert. Vitamin A
An under-the-radar Cali brand, Vitamin A‘s tops are the ONLY thing most of my sexy beach volleyball friends wear. Not only are they really, really cute, but they keep everything in the right place. Tops AND bottoms.
All of their suits are made of recycled nylon (!!) but they also just announced a badass new fabric made entirely of bio-based raw materials: castor bean. Talk about textile innovation, this fabric uses less water and CO2, dries faster, and is chlorine-resistant. Sign. Me. Up. It’s also ribbed, which is, like, waaaay trendy in Cali and hasn’t even hit the other coasts yet.
