I’ve been meaning to write about this sooner!
It’s a race that has Amy’s Ice Cream as a water stop and allows dogs?! Dreams do come true. The Fest starts at 3 with music by Austin-area musicians, the race is run at 6, and headliner Alejandro Escovedo (who is also playing a CD release party tomorrow, Friday, night at Continental Club) takes the stage at 8:30. Other funny water stops include temporary tattoos and tons of games where you can win prizes–as if running wasn’t enough prize!
It is a bit pricey, $35 for adults, but if you consider the music and food you’re getting, it’s a small price to pay. Also, dress up and try to win the costume contest! You and your pet could even match. 🙂
