Gratitude: 12 Days of Free Yoga

I heard a story once about a certain overpriced controversial yoga clothing line and their end-of-day billing reconciliation practices. The manager was allegedly overheard saying, “I don’t know why the numbers don’t add up, just manifest it!” The numbers didn’t add up.

But there is something to be said for the philosophy of manifesting things, and for whatever reason this manifestation practice has become part of a lot of yoga teachings. Which is where I’m going. Picking back up yoga is the last physical activity for me to do with my recovering hammy. I’ve been scared, hesitant, and also just busy. But I need yoga, so just yesterday I started looking at class schedules again, trying to decide if and which studio I’d join—my class needs have changed, see, I no longer need the “hard” or hot yoga, I need restorative and slow flow.

Screen Shot 2013-12-12 at 12.16.46 PMSomehow, some way, I found My Yoga Online‘s Gratitude gift. It’s 12 days of free yoga centered around gratitude. Well color me yogi! Unlimited online access to all the other classes is only $9.95/month (pennies compared to the price of attending actual classes).

I’ve had little success with online yoga before—normally I get bored and restless, so I put very little stock in online yoga classes. But these are different!

The two instructors I’ve practiced with? from? are actully really, really great. Better than most instructors I’ve encountered in Orange County. They speak to the camera, and you, as if you’re actually there. They have personality and life, and they aren’t too frou-frou (if you’ve been to more than one yoga teacher in your life, you know what I’m talking about).

I’m committing to doing these 30-minute classes every day for the next 10 days. I don’t wanna call it a challenge, but I’m counting on putting it out there in the world to hold myself accountable.

I mean, gratitude and yoga. Can you think of anything better?

I’m so excited I’ve finally found a good source for online yoga classes!
