you are my celebrity

This is STILL My Face—on GlamGlow Mud Mask

I have decided it is the fault of the jeep that my face is not as stress-zit free as it once was (click here for more on my face). What with air pollutants coming at me at 90 miles an hour on the reg—wait, let’s be serious, the jeep ain’t going 90, so maybe like 70 mph—I have to be even more protective/friendly/pampering to the ol’ face.

I can’t for the life of me remember where I heard about GlamGlow mud mask, aka SuperMud Clearing Treatment, “Hollywood’s face mask,” but being the faux celeb I am, I gotta try it. Mainly because if Amazon can charge $10 for Sample Packets 3 Pcs (.21oz/6.3g Combined Total) and sell out, shit’s gotta be good.

The marketing of the thing is all celeb-y, starting the line in no-name pots with a few actor friends blah blah but here’s the real deal: IT WORKS.

You see, what had happened was … I took my $3.33 sample and slathered it on the face. Here’s me all happy to be trying a luxury beauty product!
20140502-131723.jpgThe mask dries, but where you have zits/blackheads/air pollutant gunk stuck deep in your pores due to a totally rad topless jeep ride, the dots stay darker gray-blue. Gross.

Then you wash it off, and it comes off really easily, and OMG, the smoothness! The moisture! The RADIANCE!

My constant fading sunglasses tan—where did it go?!

My almost-zit I’ve been picking at for days but it never really formed—where did it go?!

My tired, end-of-day skin—where did it go?!

No WONDER they can charge a celeb-worthy $69 for 1.2 ounces.

I tried the Clearing Treatment, but in gathering intel and info for this here post, came across a Sample Sexy kit from the GlamGlow site itself: for $11.99 (two dollars more than amazon), you can get: 2 YOUTHMUD TingleExfoliate Treatment samples, 2 SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment samples (what I tried) and 2 BRIGHTMUD Eye Treatment samples. So for $2 more, you get one less Clearing Treatment but two more other things times two. Got that? Trying that now. Will report back if anything amazing happens. (Update: the price on amazon has lowered to $7.95. Point still stands.)
