My friend opened Lion’s Den Tattoo in San Diego 4 years ago and I was there at his grand opening, so when he announced the opening of a second shop in Pacific Beach, I booked a ticket to San Diego. Not only did I want to support him, but … it’s also time for a tattoo! And I’m not getting my first tattoo anywhere but my buddy’s shop.
Over a year ago, when I started making plans to leave OC, I wanted to get a tattoo, and started thinking I wanted something very, very elaborate, like this feather.
To encapsulate EVERYTHING in my life EVER.
Now, I want something pretty simple, like this mountain/wave combo. Mine will still be slightly more elaborate, which does something similar, but with less.
But I’ve always known I wanted it on my ribs, at or right below my sports bra line. I play enough sports shirtless/do yoga/wear bikinis that it’ll get seen plenty, but still be very inconspicuous day to day.
I cannot wait to get tat’d up this weekend! I’ll let you know how it goes.
