- My grandpa passed away this week. He was an incredible man of integrity who had much to teach his grandkids, with a healthy dose of silly on the side. Equal parts doting—I’m the only granddaughter, after all—and tough, we always knew how much Pawpaw loved and cherished us. He lost his wife earlier this summer, and I’m confident he just missed her too much and went to get that special lady back in his life. May they twirl around the heavens together!
- Until I came back to Houston, I spent a fabulous week in Portland and Seattle with my bestie and her family. So refreshing, so much fun. Snaps to come next week (when I get home to a camera cord).
- All the travel meant lots of reading time … I finally finished! (I believe I owe the library a large sum of money, around $2.40, for this one)
- Huge thanks to my friends, who are keeping lil Nali dawg happy in my absence.
- Happy Centennial/100th birthday to my lovely alma mater, Rice University! Hoot hoot!
