And quiet not just because I’ve been sick since I posted about my good health—it was only a temporary return, apparently—and flying with whatever I had has rendered me unable to hear appropriately out of first my right ear, then my left, and now both are at about 50%. It’s stupid.
We went to northern Idaho for my birthday weekend, and it was a blast. I LOVE it up there, and my worries relax on the mountains and in the lakes. But I did not feel good. We flew home on my birthday, and it was very unexciting.
I’m so millennial I just lost my long list of gratitudes like we used to lose word docs when we didn’t hit save
We’ll try this again. I haven’t felt good all week, I’m dealing with a really heavy situation I’m not prepared to blog about (yet/ever), I’m still grateful for a lot of things and I don’t think any of this is related to being 42 now, but who knows, I guess it could be. And I’m really grateful for my people, my family and framily.
Grateful for:

- pumpkin spice season is nigh (I MISSED OUT ON MY STARBUCKS PSL, which I only allow myself when it’s free on my birthday but we didn’t get it and I am SO SAD NOT GRATEFUL this bullet doesn’t belong here)
- my mentor/exec coach
- a temporary podcast break (see: travel and illness, lol)
- things I forgot from previous weeks: seeing Joe Rogan and friends with favorite friends at Comedy Mothership, Beer Olympics I have passed the torch, Dani ep, my aunt & uncle coming to town and having lasagna at my parents’ house, fun virtual Rice meetup, and idk, the general rhythm of life.
Let’s hope all this positivity carries into a restful weekend that resets me for the busy September to come, and prepares me to make good decisions that are fun to finally get to make! We have zero plans this long Labor Day weekend, so I’m excited to heal and work on the house and yard or maybe do some local sightseeing.
