100% Recycled Down! How cool is this?? Patagonia has created their signature jackets and vests with recycled down. It’s a mix of 600-fill-power goose and duck down reclaimed from used items (mostly quilts and pillows), which is cleaned, sorted and resurrected. It offers identical performance benefits to virgin down. As if I wasn’t obsessed with Patagonia enough before.
I am COVETING this entire outfit, with the Bivy Down Hooded Vest ($179) as the centerpiece but the timeless Fjord Flannel ($89) as the under layer.
Also obsessed with this down jacket ($249)(which I obviously don’t need in Southern California … but what about my trips to my cabin??)
Also, aside from being fair trade, ethically-sourced and -produced, recycling wherever possible, and more … Patagonia has been in the news quite a bit recently for its staggering 100% retention rate of new moms.
Patagonia is just so rad.
