I can’t remember if I’ve spoken on xlyssa before about MooJesus! … I know I have written about it here and here and here on thisislifeinaustin. Anyway, MooJesus! is the raw milk dairy we go to in Seguin, Texas, about an hour-ish away from Austin. It’s a little slice of heaven, and the next time we go I’m going to plan it in advance and bring more people! [Pro tip: ALWAYS place your order in advance by calling.]
Veronica and I went recently, and as usual, we had a blast. A guy walked in behind us wearing a CrossFit sweatshirt, so we obviously invited him over to our table and ended up hanging out with him for several hours. It’s so cool how CrossFit unites people … we have almost nothing in common with this fella, but the three of us had a wonderful time lunching and getting to know each other.
He’s active in the military, so we thought we’d get to see him again while he was stationed in San Antonio. Alas, he’s off to Alaska or Antarctica or somewhere insane and even colder than Colorado. It’s times like that when CrossFit would be even MORE important as a place of consistency and community. Gotta love it.
