“LA’s newest celebrity scene nightclub” (direct quote), recently sent me a list of their signature cocktails in advance of the opening of the newest club from the H.wood Group (think Bootsy Bellows & Shorebar), Hooray Henry’s. I was mostly excited that I’ve made my way on to some sort of LA press list as a celebrity blogger … the paths this leeetle old blog has taken are nothing short of a maze (-ing … har har!). I mean, my faux celeb life is almost complete.
But regardless of celeb status, we all know I love a good cocktail, so here are a few recipes from master mixologist, Curtis of Blacklab (is that British?)
THE OXFORD LAD
2oz Hendricks gin
.75oz lemon juice
mint
cucumber
.75oz Honey syrup
shake/strain into a rocks glass
ROYAL FASHION
2oz Bulleit Bourbon
Brown sugar cube
angostura bitters
orange zest
build in glass
THE HENRY
2oz Akvinta Vodka
1oz lime juice
.75oz Canton’s ginger liqueur
top with soda water
shake/strain inoto a rocks glass
If you’ll never make it into an “LA celebrity nightclub”, at least you can drink like you’re at one…
